University of Richmond - The Fight for Knowledge Project & Virtual Exhibition

Dr. Patricia Herrera and Dr. Laura Browder from the University of Richmond are two very fierce women searching for creative ways to give voice to underserved communities in Richmond. I have been privileged to collaborate with them for over five years, and the fantastic work that we do together is always a creative highlight for me.

At the beginning of 2021, they called me once again to work on an AIDS project which, given that we were facing a current pandemic, felt timely and powerful. This year was going to be challenging due to COVID-19. For five months, we did multiple shoots, including Zoom shoots, still life, and a final in-person shoot culminating in an online exhibition of the work done.

I'm so proud of being part of this project and look forward to many more incredible collaborations.
