VICPP Day of All People, Portraiture

When Roberta Oster, the powerhouse behind so much incredible journalism and social work, contacted me to photograph the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy "Day for All People" I could not say no, naturally. First of all, it is impossible to say not to such a formidable woman and secondly, the chance to be part of such an important day for social advocacy was too significant to pass up.

After spending a very cold day in downtown Richmond documenting the hundredths of constituents that descended in the Capitol to advance their causes, I was humbled. It was with awe that I witnessed democracy in action.

Here is just a small sample of the portrait work we did on that unforgettable day. Thank you to Roberta and all the staff of VICPP for inviting me to be part of this day!
