Love in Rain!
Springtime is a tricky time of year to get married. You might find yourself with a brilliantly bright day, sunlight streaming through trees, birds chirping, and a new warmth making the day shine. You also have a chance of May showers, which are common in the Charlottesville area and across the Blue Ridge Mountains. And even though most couples cross fingers for a clear sky sunny wedding day I am a big fan of overcast days. The light is soft, romantic and magical.
Jackie and Sean are truly special souls. They live in Washington DC, where they work with children with disabilities. In fact, they met at their wedding venue, Camp Holiday Trails, a campground dedicated to children with medical needs, which made this rainy wedding day even more soulful. Their generosity and love were palpable in everything that made this day unique.
Jackie and Sean, thank you. Thank you for walking around the rain and wet grounds underfoot for portraits. Thank you for laughing with me and making me laugh so hard. And lastly, thank you for trusting me with your memories, and allowing me to spend such an important day with you. Thank you, thank you.
